Sierra Madre Oral History Project.
The Sierra Madre Oral History Project began in 1988 under the direction of Jayne Kistner, a Sierra Madre resident and historian. She approached Toni Buckner, Director of Library Services, and was offered the support of the Sierra Madre Public Library. The project consisted of eighteen interviewers who conducted interviews with a total of 110 Sierra Madre residents. Funds for the project were donated by Mr. and Mrs. Harry Martin, the Sierra Madre Civic Club, and the Friends of the Sierra Madre Public Library.
