Daniel, John C., 1899-1992
John C. Daniel was born November 1, 1899, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He received his commission as Ensign in the U.S. Navy on June 5, 1924 then advanced through the ranks to rear admiral on March 1, 1952. He served as commandant of the Sixth Naval District from February 1958 to October 1959. Daniel died on November 21, 1992, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
