Morton Shalowitz (1923- ) grew up in Chicago, Illinois.

Ordained as a Rabbi in 1949, he served congregations in North Dakota, Montana, Tennessee, Florida, and the Temple Beth Israel in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Including two years of active service during the Korean War, Shalowitz spent thirty years in the US Army Reserve, retiring at the rank of Colonel in 1983. He currently resides in Fond du Lac, Wis.
