French, Francis H., 1857-1921.

Francis Henry French (1857-1921) was a career army officer who graduated from West Point in 1879 and spent the 1880s in Texas and Colorado forts.

He served at posts throughout the United States and the world, including Puerto Rico from 1898 to 1899; the Phillipines from 1899 to 1902; and Hawaii from 1912 to 1915. He becamme a general in 1916 and took an early retirement in 1920 due to poor health.
