Stuart, Homer Hine, 1810-1885
Variant namesBorn Homer Hine Stewart in New Haven, Vt., and attended Middlebury College under that name, changing the spelling later in life. He was a teacher in Springfield, Vt. (1882-1883), was admitted to the bar in 1839, and practiced law in Lockport, N.Y. He was related to the Stewart family of Middlebury, Vt.
