Johnson, Charles A. (Charles Acile)
Variant namesCharles A. Johnson served in the Volunteer Army of the United States during the Civil War. He joined the regular Army after the war and was part of the 14th Infantry Regiment from 1876 to circa 1890. In 1876 he was promoted from 2nd lieutenant to 1st lieutenant. He served in several western U.S. posts and was stationed at Vancouver Barracks, Washington, from 1884 to circa 1890.
