Lowry, Anita
Librarian and specialist in electronic information resources. Anita Lowry was employed at Columbia University for 20 years where she was Deputy Head of the Reference Dept. at Butler Library and co-founder and director of the library's Electronic Text Service. In 1993 she was hired by the University of Iowa Libraries to head the newly established Information Arcade where she continued her interest in electronic resources for teaching and research. Lowry died in July 1996 following heart surgery.
