Australia. Expert Group on Road Safety
Variant namesThe council was formed in June 1947 through the instrumentality of the Australian Transport Advisory Council at the suggestion of the Australian Automobile Association. It was replaced in 1961 by a much smaller Council, which lasted until 1970 when two bodies superseded it: The Publicity Advisory Committee on Education in Road Safety, and the Expert Group on Road Safety.
