President and founder of The Parkinson Group, Gloria Parkinson has had a career as a writer and producer for print, video, audio, television, and theater. Parkinson has scripted corporate multimedia learning programs, researched and written training and reference manuals, and assembled teams that have produced award-winning creative projects--from monthly consumer publications to cultural events. Before moving to the United States from her native England in 1980, she was a producer and director in professional theater. She has served as an advisor to the Arts Council of Great Britain and a trustee of the Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama (London).

Parkinson holds an M.A. in writing from Brown University, an A.B. in English from Harvard University, and a Teaching Diploma from the Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama (London). She has been a fellow of the Bunting Institute at Radcliffe College; a recipient of fellowships from the Arts Council of Great Britain; a visiting artist at Radcliffe; and a lecturer at Wellesley College. Parkinson is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the National Association of Science Writers, and the American Medical Writers Association.

Parkinson is actively involved in her local community in Clinton, Massachusetts. She is a trustee of the Bigelow Free Public Library (an elected office); she is a chairperson of The Friends of Rauscher Farm; she serves on Clinton's Alternate Energy Commission; She is the music coordinator of her church; and she is a hospice-trained volunteer.
