Gorphwysfa Estate, located between Bangor and Menai Bridge, North Wales, also referred to in the documents as Glyn and Borth. Former owners over the period of the material in this collection include Charles Evans of Trefeilir, Anglesey, c 1790 and the Hon. Walter Warwick Vivian who purchased the estate in 1902. The Right Hon. Charles, Lord Lucan of Castlebar, Ireland, occupied it, c 1790. From the late nineteenth century onwards sections of the property were let to the London and North Western Railway Company and the Electricity Works Company.
