Rudolph Edward Lee was a member of Clemson University's first graduating class, head of its architecture department, and architect for a number of the campus buildings. As professor of architecture, he also served for some time as superintendent of construction and repair. He retired from Clemson in 1948. He was married to Louise Egleston. They had one daughter, Mrs. William T. Page, Jr. Lee died on October 29th 1959 at the age of 85.
