Northwestern North Carolina Railroad Company
Organized in North Carolina in 1868 to build a railroad from Greensboro to Lexington, N.C.; constructed by Richmond and Danville Railroad from Greensboro to Wilkesboro, N.C., 1872-1890 (100 miles); leased by Richmond and Danville (1890-1894); controlled by Southern Railway after 1894.
