McCarthy, Frank L., 1893-1978.
Biographical note: Frank L. McCarthy was born in Paris, Kentucky in 1893. He graduated from Transylvania University with a bachelor's degree in 1913 and earned a master's degree in 1914. After graduating from Yale Law School in 1917 he returned to Lexington to practice law. He was elected to the Kentucky Railroad Commission in 1936 and served as chariman for thirty-two years. He was active in the Catholic Church, and in the Transylvania Alumni Association, serving three terms as president.
