New England Southern Mills.

Hide Profile

The International Cotton Mills grew out of a reorganization of the Consolidated Cotton Duck Company (formerly United States Duck Corporation), all of which comprised a group of individual mills. ICM was incorporated in 1910 with a capital of twenty million dollars and a large percentage of the duck industry under its control. It was sold in 1913 to Lockwood, Green & Company, Boston. In 1923 it became the New England Southern Mills. The individual mills represented in this collection are the Stark Mills in Manchester, N.H., and Hogansville, Ga.; mills in the towns of Touraine, Addison, LaGrange, Lancaster and Hogansville, Ga.; and the International Cotton Mills, Lisbon Division, Lisbon, Me.
