Ronald Schuchard is Goodrich C. White Professor of English at Emory University, where he began his career as teacher and scholar in 1969. He completed his graduate work at the University of Texas, Austin, and teaches courses in 20th century British, Irish and Anglophone literature. He is author of numerous studies of modern authors, particularly T.S. Eliot and W.B. Yeats. Schuchard has been a key figure in organizing the Richard Ellmann Lectures in Modern Literature, inaugurated by Seamus Heaney in 1988.
