Tristram Gilman (1735-1809) was the pastor of the First Congregational Church of North Yarmouth, Maine, from 1769-1807. A native of New Hampshire and a graduate of Harvard College in 1757, Gilman is noted for religious revivals instituted in 1791 which resulted in a wave of religious interest throughout New England.

Tristram Gilman ( 1735-1809) was born in Durham, Maine and graduated with a B.A. from Harvard in 1757. After graduation, he was schoolmaster of the Exeter School. He became minister of North Yarmouth, Maine in 1769 and led a successful three-year revival beginning in 1791. He served as president of the Maine Missionary Society and the first president of the Bowdoin College Board of Trustees. He died on April 1, 1809.
