The Office of the Vice President and Dean for Undergraduate Education provides leadership and coordination for University-wide programs in support of undergraduate teaching and learning. The Office was first called the Office of the Vice President for Undergraduate Studies. It changed its name to the Office of the Vice Provost and Dean for Undergraduate Programs around 1985. It changed its name again in 1990 to the Office of the Vice Provost and Dean for Undergraduate Education. In 2002 it became the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education and International Programs. Finally, it became the Office of the Vice President and Dean for Undergraduate Education in 2005. It is commonly known as the Office of Undergraduate Education today.
