Townley, Charles Thomas
Variant namesCharles Townley received a doctorate from the University of Michigan, with additional graduate degrees from the Universities of California and Oklahoma. He was division director of the Heindel Library, Pennsylvania State University at Harrisburg from circa 1980 to circa 1990 and was an advocate of increased use of technology by libraries. He then became professor of educational management and development at New Mexico State University, teaching educational leadership, university administration, and knowledge management. Dr. Townley also served on the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) as a councilor of the American Library Association, and member of the OCLC Users Council.
