Eddie Deerfield was a United States (U.S.) Army enlisted soldier who served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He received a commission in the U.S. Army Reserve in 1949 and was recalled to active duty in 1951; served as detachment commander of a psychological warfare unit in Pusan, Korea; retired from the U.S. Army Reserve as a lieutenant colonel in 1983; and served in the U.S. Information Agency as a diplomat from 1963-1988. He was the author of the novel, THE PSY-WARRIORS.
