Soares, Alberto Dias, 1830-1909
Variant namesAlberto Dias Soares was a Church of England clergyman and church architect. His work as a church architect included designing a new stone church for Queanbeyan in 1860, and a Gothic stone church for St Philip's in Bungendore, opened in 1865. His other designs included Christ Church Cooma, and the Anglican churches at West Goulburn and Wentworth and the Presbyterian church in Queanbeyan.
