Taylor, George Conway.
William Taylor migrated from Botetourt County, Virginia, to Kentucky in the late eighteenth century. He was a successful lawyer and land speculator until his death in 1836. Taylor was part of the influential Taylor family that included Col. Richard Taylor, the James Taylor's, and Zachary Taylor.
