Schirmer, Theodor A., 1947-
Theodor "Ted" Schirmer was born in Rockford, Illinois, and lived in several different states when young. He joined the Navy and was sent to Vietnam where he worked as an interpreter. Schirmer married a Vietnamese woman in a Buddhist ceremony and had a child with her. He was sent back to the United States for becoming too close with the local Vietnamese people.
