Armor, George E.
George E. Armor of Delphi, Indiana in Carroll County enlisted as a musician in Company A of the 9th Indiana Infantry in 1861. Armor was injured at Shiloh and was discharged in 1862. He re-enlisted under the name George E. Armer and worked in a medical unit in Company B of the 86th Indiana Infantry. Armor was killed at the Battle of Stone's River in Tennessee while placing a body on a stretcher.
