Gill, William Harrison, 1849-1909.
William Harrison Gill (1849-1909), interdenominatioal missionary, was sent to the Southwest in 1876 under a contract with the American Sunday School Union. From 1876-1896 he organized Sunday schools in Texas, Oklahoma, and Indian Territory. He later moved to Arizona, where he worked with the Indians of the Salt River and Fort McDowell Reservations.
