Bernhard Schwenke (b. 1816), following in his father's (Traugott Friedrich Schwenke (1772-1839)) and grandfather's (Johann Gottlieb Schwenke (1726-1798)) footsteps, was the pastor of the Protestant parish of Langendembach (Germany) from 1839 until his death in 1885. During the period of service by the three Schwenke pastors, their parish was part of the Duchy of Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach.
