Arthur B. McDaniel (b. Aug. 13, 1895, San Antonio, Texas-d. Dec. 26, 1943), Brigadier General in the U.S. Air Force, was commissioned in the infantry in 1917 after graduating from law school, University of Texas. He transferred to the Air Service in 1922, was a member of the Pan-American goodwill flight in 1926 and 1927, and graduated from both the Command and General Staff School and Army War College. He was commanding general of the 3rd Reconnaissance Command in 1942 and 1943) and awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.
