[Mrs. Andrew] MacKay Scott was the wife of a wealthy stockbroker and an officer of the Woman's Club of Evanston, IL. Her civic interests were social service and mental health programs such as the Infant Welfare Society, juvenile justice, venereal disease education, and the Evanston King's Daughters, which was an organization for dependent girls and women. She was also interested in current politics. In the 1920s and early 1930s she worked with mental health groups in Los Angeles and was a member of the commitee on organization of the First International Congress on Mental Hygiene (1930). MacKay-Scott was also a board member of the Los Angeles Women's Health Center.
