The Commission was formed on 30 January 1967 as an interdepartmental body, whose decisions were considered as made together by the Academy and State Committee on the Atomic Energy (GKAE), and dissolved in 1993. Chairmen: B. P. Konstantinov (1967-1969); M. A. Markov (1970-1993).
