Sumner, William, 1699-1778
Variant namesWilliam Sumner, Hebron, Conn., physician, was born in Boston, Mass., on 18 Mar. 1699. He married Hannah Hunt, 11 Oct. 1721, and they had ten children. Sumner practiced medicine in Hebron from 1724 until 1768; he then removed to Claremont, N.H., and died there on 4 Mar. 1778.
