Coronado Cuarto Centennial Commission.

The Coronado Cuarto Centennial Commission was created in 1935 by the New Mexico State Legislature to prepare the foundation for the statewide celebration of the four hundredth anniversary of the Francisco Vasquez de Coronado Expedition. Members of the Commission included James Zimmerman (president), Erna Fergusson, Gilberto Espinsoa, B. C. Hernandez, Riley Edwards, Charles Martin, Ruth Laughlin Alexander, Orval Rickerts, and Herbert Brayer (director). The Cuarto Centennial activities were planned for May 1 through September 15, 1940.
