McGaughey, Janie W. (Janie Wood), 1891-1981
Variant namesJanie W. McGaughey was executive secretary of the Presbyterian Church in the U.S. (PCUS) Board of Women's Work, 1929-1956.
McGaughey also taught religious education classes at Presbyterian churches in Atlanta and Knoxville and was Professor of Bible at Mary Baldwin College, 1926-1927. She wrote numerous articles and Bible study guides for the PCUS Women of the Church and other audiences.
