Conrad, James Ray.

Conrad (born August 21, 1892 in Plainfield, NJ) majored in civil engineering at Lafayette College and graduated in 1914. As a student, he was a member of the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Society. Conrad went on to become the vice president and chief engineer for the Truscon Steel Company of Japan in Kawasaki, Japan. Following his stay in Japan, he was the territorial manager for the Republic Steel Corporation, in Europe, Asia, and Africa.
