Amalgamated Meat Cutters and Butcher Workmen of North America. District Union 427 (Cleveland, Ohio)
Chartered in 1933 as Local Union 427 of the Amalgamated Meat Cutters and Butcher Workmen of North America. It merged with the Retail Clerks International Union in 1979 to form the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union. District 427 established the Community Health Foundation in 1964, with the cooperation of the Retail Clerks Local 880. The Foundation merged with Kaiser in 1969.
