Whaling vessel, out of Westport, Mass., mastered by David Ross (took command from Horace Young, 1856) and Pardon Corey Edwards (took command, May 1856), on voyage from 29 Nov. 1853-31 Aug. 1856 to the Coast of Brazil whaling grounds; owner-agent: Andrew Hicks; built at Rochester, Mass., in 1849; sold to New Bedford., Mass., whaling fleet in 1856.
