University of Utah. President (Thomas : 1921-1941)
George Thomas was born Dec. 29, 1866 in Hyde Park, Utah. He received his B.A. and M.A. from Harvard, and his Ph.D from Halle University in Germany. e became Superintendent of Public Instruction for Utah in 1921, but resigned in July 1921 when offered the presidency of the University of Utah. He retired in 1941, and died April 11, 1951.
