Eva Behn Chapline was born in 1895 in Prescott, Arizona where her father was a businessman and gold prospector in the Arizona Territory. Both Eva and her husband, William R. Chapline, worked for the U.S. Forest Service. She was a photographer and traveler and made numerous films of her travels throughout the world, particularly while her husband worked for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in Rome. She presented travelogs with her 16mm motion pictures to a wide range of audiences, mainly in the Washington, D.C. area where she lived with her husband. She died in 1965.
