William Jimmerson Holloway (b. May 6, 1917) served as the first vice provost of Minority Affairs at Ohio State University. In addition to developing programs for recruitment and retention of minority students in Ohio, Holloway's office was involved in many conflicts concerning Black students, faculty and staff of the University on campus and in the larger metropolitan Columbus community. In 1980, he became director of the Nigerian Education Program. He served as editor of the National Education Review and then editor-in-chief of this journal. Insight Enterprises, Inc. was established in 1982 to provide assistance to handicapped individuals in the areas of education and employment. Holloway married Julia Naomi Edmundston in 1944 and the couple had children: Wendell, Arnett, and Lynn.
