Bob Quinn owned the Boston Red Sox from 1923-1932 and was general manager of the Brooklyn Dodgers (1932) and the Boston Braves (1932-1942). He was also head of the Boston Braves farm system (1942-1943). Edward Gaffney played for the Sanford Celeryfeds of the Florida State League (1920), the Daytona Beach Islanders of the Florida State League (1920, 1923), the Orlando Tigers of the Florida State League (1921), the Charleston Pals of the South Atlantic Association (1922) and the Jacksonville Indians of the Florida State League League (1922).
