Ghinsberg, Samuel

Samuel Ghinsberg was born in Romania and emigrated to the U.S. in 1900. He served as the first executive director of the Oakland Jewish Welfare Federation (1918-1922) and as a district manager for the Jewish Consumptive Relief Association of California. During World War I, he worked for the Jewish Welfare Board.
