S.H. Kress & Co.
The S.H. Kress & Co. was established in 1896 as a chain of five-and-ten-cent stores with locations throughout the United States. The Kress flagship store designed by Edward Sibbert and opened in 1935 was located at 444 Fifth Avenue at the corner of 39th Street in New York City.
