Richards, Stanley, 1918-1980

Stanley Richards was the administrator and keeper of the Royal Institute of South Wales, Swansea during the 1960s. He wrote about Edgar Evans a native of Wales who served on the British National Antarctic Expedition, 1901-1904 and the British Antarctic Expedition, 1910-1913 (both led by Robert Falcon Scott).

Stanley Richards, American playwright, was born in Brooklyn, New York, and studied at Columbia University and Feagin School of Drama, 1937-1938. During his career, Richards worked as a playwright, Hollywood screenwriter, theater critic, and professor of drama. Richards wrote 19 plays, nine of which received awards in the United States, Europe, and South America. Richards also edited 40 anthologies of plays.

Richards plays have been produced in several countries including Holland, Brazil, and Chile, and have been translated into nine languages.
