Vickers, Thomas, approximately 1721-1793

Thomas Vickers was a Quaker minister from southeastern Pennsylvania. He was born around 1721 to Abraham and Mary Vickers of Plumstead, Pennsylvania. Vickers married Rebecca Dillon of Bedminster, Pennsylvania, in 1746; the couple had eight children together. In 1775 Thomas, Rebecca, and their four youngest children moved to Bradford in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Vickers lived there for the rest of his life, with the exception of short move to Exeter from 1782 to 1783. He frequently made religious visits to Quaker families in the Delaware Valley, including in Evesham, New Jersey. Vickers died while making such a family visit near Exeter, Pennsylvania, on 12mo 30, 1793.
