Elsie Miller Palmer was born in Yellow Springs, Ohio, graduated from Antioch College, and married Rev. Stephen G. Palmer in about 1898. Her father, J. Peery Miller, was professor of history at Antioch College, and all but one of the eight Miller children graduated from Antioch. Rev. Palmer taught at Antioch, at Northborough (Mass.) High School and at Watha Industrial School (North Carolina). He was also Unitarian minister in Dighton, Mass., and Windsor, Vt.
