Khalatbary, Abbas Ali, 1912-1979
Abbas Ali Khalatbary (1912-1979) was an Iranian diplomat, serving as Ambassador to Poland, 1959; Secretary-General of CENTO (Central Treaty Organization), 1962-1968; Under-Secretary for Political Affairs (Iran), 1968-1970; and Minister of Foreign Affairs (Iran), 1970-1977. He was assassinated in April 1979.
