T.T. Robertson was born in Winnsboro, South Carolina in 1815. He graduated from the Medical College of the State of South Carolina in 1839, and continued his medical education in Paris in 1845. He practiced medicine in Winnsboro, leaving during the Civil War to serve at the hospital in Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Robertson was president of the South Carolina Medical Association after the Civil War. He married Sarah Palmer Coutourier in 1848, and the couple had eight children. Dr. Robertson died in Winnsboro in October of 1889.
