National Society of Arts and Letters (U.S.). Indiana Chapter

The National Society of Arts and Letters was founded in 1945 to encourage young people in arts and literature. The Indianapolis Chapter was founded shortly thereafter, and has remained a women's organization. Members are elected as either performers or patrons. The Indiana Chapter conducts contests in dance, art, music, literature, drama, and poetry.
