Independent Order of B'nai B'rith. Lodge 171 (Denver, Colo.)
Primary Jewish philanthropic and social service organization in Denver, Colo. from 1872 through World War II. Founded as fraternal organization and received charter from National Order of B'nai B'rith on April 7, 1872 with David Kline, president and Louis Anfenger, secretary. Charles M. Schayer served as president of the organization in 1876. Isadore Rude donated land for the B'nai B'rith building in Denver.
