Deaton, Faye Trail.
Kaye Trail Deaton was raised in a Harlan County, Kentucky coal mining camp in the 1930s and attended Pine Mountain Settlement School, a co-ed boarding school. She worked at City National Bank in Chicago and raised two sons with her husband. She wrote View from a Grapevine Swing (2001) and Tossed by the Wind: Poems (2003).
