Slade, Thomas (1830-1904)

Thomas Slade, native of Rockingham County, North Carolina attended Wake Forest College, 1848-53. He later taught school at the Trinity Academy, Caswell County, North Carolina, 1854-; and in Marion and Macon counties in Ala., 1856-59. In 1859 he is listed as a planter living at Lennox Castle, Rockingham County, North Carolina Mr. Slade was born Jan. 5, 1830 and died Dec. 24, 1904. He was married to Miss Sunie Howard of Ala. They had one son and one daughter.
