Kaufman, Boris.

Boris Kaufman (1906-1980), a cinematographer, was born and raised in Bialystok, in the northeastern part of modern-day Poland, educated and trained in France, and known for his work with filmmakers Jean Vigo, Elia Kazan, Sidney Lumet, and others. He was the younger brother to filmmaker Denis Kaufman (known as Dziga Vertov) and cinematographer Mikhail Kaufman.
